Terms of Use

Last updated: 12 August 2026  ·  Applies to the iOS app “Image to PDF”

1. Acceptance of these terms

These Terms of Use (“Terms”) are an agreement between you and enacti (“we”, “us”) governing your use of the iOS application Image to PDF (“the app”). By downloading or using the app you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

Because the app is distributed through the Apple App Store, Apple’s standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies. Apple is not a party to these Terms and has no responsibility for the app or its content.

2. What the app does

The app turns photos of paper documents into PDF or image files. You can capture pages with the camera or import them from your photo library, organise them into named Sets, crop, rotate, filter and adjust pages, place a drawn signature, choose output options, and generate files to share, save, or print.

All processing happens locally on your device. The app requires no account and no internet connection, and it transmits nothing. See the Privacy Policy for the full picture.

3. Your license to use the app

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the app on Apple devices that you own or control, for your own purposes, in accordance with these Terms and the App Store rules. You may not:

4. Your content

The documents you scan, the photos you import, the signatures you draw, and the files the app generates are yours. We claim no ownership of, and no rights over, any of it. Because everything is processed and stored only on your device, we never receive, see, or host your content.

You are responsible for your content: for having the right to scan and use the documents you process, for reviewing generated files before relying on them or sending them to others, and for keeping your own backups of anything important. Deleting a Set in the app, or deleting the app, permanently removes the associated data from the app’s storage.

5. Acceptable use

You agree to use the app only for lawful purposes. In particular, you must not use the app to:

About the signature feature: a signature placed with the app is an image stamped onto a page. Whether such a signature is legally valid or sufficient for any particular document, transaction, or jurisdiction is your responsibility to determine. The app is not an electronic-signature service and does not create certified or cryptographically verified signatures.

6. Privacy and permissions

The app operates entirely on your device: all data is stored locally, and the app collects nothing. It requests only two system permissions — Camera (to scan documents) and add-only Photos access (to save exported images to your photo library; it cannot read your existing photos). Importing photos uses Apple’s system picker, which needs no permission. The details are in the Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms.

7. Intellectual property

The app — including its software, design, and branding, but excluding your content — is owned by enacti and protected by intellectual-property laws. Apart from the license in section 3, no rights in the app are granted to you.

8. Disclaimers

The app is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, merchantability, and non-infringement. Without limiting that:

Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties, so parts of this section may not apply to you.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, enacti shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or exemplary damages — including loss of data, loss of profits, or losses arising from reliance on generated documents — resulting from your use of, or inability to use, the app. To the same maximum extent, our total aggregate liability for all claims relating to the app shall not exceed the amount you paid for the app in the twelve months before the claim arose (or, if the app was free, an amount equal to its price at the time: zero).

Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law.

10. Termination

These Terms apply for as long as you use the app. Your license ends automatically if you materially breach these Terms. You may end the agreement at any time by deleting the app, which also deletes its locally stored data. Sections 4, 7, 8, 9, and 12 survive termination.

11. Changes to the app or these terms

We may update the app from time to time, and may change these Terms when the app’s functionality or the law makes it necessary. Material changes will be reflected by a new “Last updated” date on this page and noted in the app’s release notes. Continuing to use the app after a change takes effect means you accept the revised Terms.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws applicable in the country of residence of enacti, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, except where the law of your country of residence gives you mandatory consumer protections — nothing in these Terms limits those.
