1. Who we are
Image to PDF (“the app”, “we”, “us”) is an iOS application published by enacti. The app turns photos of paper documents into clean, shareable PDF or image files, with cropping, filters, page reordering, and signature placement — all performed on your device.
2. Data we do not collect
The app contains no networking code of any kind. It cannot send data anywhere, so the following are true in the strongest possible sense:
- No account, sign-up, or login exists.
- No analytics or usage statistics are gathered.
- No advertising, and no advertising identifiers are read.
- No tracking of you or your activity, on the app or across other apps and websites.
- No third-party SDKs, libraries, or services are embedded in the app.
- No crash reports, logs, or diagnostics are sent to us.
- Nothing you scan, type, draw, or generate is ever transmitted to us or anyone else by the app.
Apple may provide us with aggregated, anonymised App Store statistics (such as download counts) under Apple’s own privacy terms; those figures contain nothing about you or your documents.
3. What stays on your device
To do its job, the app processes the following information — entirely on your device:
- Document photos you capture with the camera or import from your photo library.
- Edits you apply: crops, rotations, filters, and adjustments.
- Signatures you draw and choose to save for reuse.
- Generated files: the PDFs and exported images the app creates.
- App settings, such as your preferred sort order and PDF options (page size, margins, quality).
None of this is personal data in our hands — we never receive it.
4. Permissions the app requests
iOS asks for your consent before the app can use protected features. The app requests only the following, only when you first use the related feature:

Importing photos needs no permission at all. The app uses Apple’s system photo picker, which runs outside the app in a separate process. You browse and pick privately; the app receives only the specific photos you select, and nothing else from your library.
5. Where your data is stored
- All data is stored locally on your device — in the app’s own private, sandboxed storage area that other apps cannot read.
- Your document images, thumbnails, signatures, and generated PDFs are kept as files in the app’s private container; the library’s structure (Sets, page order, names, dates) is kept in a local database in the same container.
- We operate no servers and hold no copies of anything.
- If you use Apple’s device backup features (iCloud Backup or computer backups), your device may include the app’s data in your backup, under your Apple account and Apple’s terms. That is controlled entirely by you in iOS Settings — the app itself does not use iCloud and cannot see your backups.
6. Sharing, saving, and printing
Your files leave the app only through actions you take yourself:
- Share hands the PDF or images to the iOS share sheet, and they go only to the app or person you choose there.
- Save to Files / Save to Photos writes the file where you direct it.
- Print sends the document to the printer you pick via AirPrint.
Once you send a file to another app, service, or person, its handling is governed by their privacy practices — the same as attaching any file anywhere.
7. Retention and deletion
- Your data exists for exactly as long as you keep it. Deleting a Set inside the app permanently deletes its pages and generated files from the app’s storage — there is no undo and no hidden copy.
- Deleting the app from your device deletes the app’s entire private container, including the database, images, signatures, and PDFs.
- Images you previously exported to your photo library, files you saved elsewhere, and copies you shared are yours to manage where they live.
8. Security
Because nothing is transmitted, the main protection for your documents is the device itself. The app’s data sits inside iOS’s per-app sandbox and is covered by your device’s encryption whenever the device is locked with a passcode, Face ID, or Touch ID. We recommend keeping a passcode enabled and iOS up to date.
9. Children’s privacy
The app collects no personal data from anyone — including children. There are no accounts, no ads, and no communication features. If you are a parent or guardian with a question about the app, contact us at the address below.
10. Changes to this policy
If a future version of the app ever changes what data is handled — for example, if an optional cloud feature were added — we will update this policy, change the “Last updated” date above, and describe the change in the app’s release notes before it applies. The current version of the policy always lives at this address.
